The Merton D. Simpson Gallery specializes in Tribal and Contemporary art, with an expertise in important African and Oceanic art. The Gallery also features important works by African American artists, including H. O. Tanner.

The Merton D. Simpson Gallery was founded in the 1950’s when its owner, an accomplished artist in his own right, began to cultivate his passion for African art. After nearly fifty years in the business, Merton D. Simpson is one of the most reputable and knowledgeable African art dealers on the international market. His eye for fine and unique art is highly respected by curators, as well as, by private collectors throughout the world. His pieces have become part of museum collections and have been published in numerous Tribal art books.

The Gallery conducts special exhibitions twice a year. Please join us for the viewing of Art of Africa from May 6 until June 8, 2005. The exhibition will include over forty-five examples of fine sculptures from Gabon, Ivory Coast, Nigeria and South Africa.
